What Keymate knows about you. And everything it doesn’t.

In short: nothing that Apple’s Screen Time provides ever leaves your iPhone. Our servers only see what’s strictly needed to send a request to your guardians and bring their answer back. No ads, no data sales, no cross-app tracking.

Data we collect

Your first name, as you type it, so your guardians know who is asking.
Your profile photo, if you choose one (optional), so your guardians recognize you. It is stored with Supabase and visible to your guardians.
An anonymous account ID created by Supabase Auth. No email address, no phone number, no password.
Your Apple notification tokens (APNs), to deliver requests and answers.
Unlock requests: requested duration, status (pending, granted, denied, expired), which guardian answered, timestamps. A request doesn’t say which app you want to open.
Your guardian links: who looks after whom (up to 3 guardians), and pending invitations.
Your Screen Time permission status (on or off), to notify your guardians if you turn it off.
Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck): onboarding steps, paywall views, invitations sent and accepted, requests and answers, joker use. They are not linked to your identity (the identifier is hashed on your iPhone) and contain no Screen Time data.
Crash reports (Sentry): technical information about the device and the error, to fix bugs. They are not linked to your identity and contain neither your first name, nor your Screen Time data, nor screenshots.
Your subscription status (active, expiry date), to know whether Keymate is unlocked.

What never leaves your iPhone

Everything that comes from Apple’s Screen Time (Family Controls) stays on your device: the apps, categories and websites you block, their names, your screen time and the time spent in each app. We receive none of it, and neither do your guardians. We have no access to your history, your messages or your other apps.

What we don’t do

No advertising.
No selling or renting your data.
No ad trackers, no ad SDKs, no profiling, no cross-app tracking.

Who sees what

Your guardians see your first name, your profile photo if you added one, your requests (“wants to open an app”, without the app’s name) and their status, the answers, your use of the joker, and an alert if you remove the Screen Time permission. If you look after each other, it works both ways. Nobody else.

Payments

Subscriptions are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details.

Hosting

Supabase: database and authentication, hosted in the European Union (Paris).
TelemetryDeck: anonymous usage statistics, hosted in the European Union.
Sentry: anonymous crash reports.
RevenueCat: subscription management (account ID and App Store purchase history).
Cloudflare: this website and invitation links.
Apple: push notification delivery and payments.

Retention and deletion

Your data is kept as long as your account exists. In the app, Settings → Delete my account immediately and permanently erases your account and all associated data (first name, profile photo, requests, guardian links, notification tokens). Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, and wherever you live, you can request access to, correction, portability or deletion of your data, and object to its processing. EU residents can also contact their data protection authority (in France, the CNIL: cnil.fr).
